Where Mules Are Made

Poplar Bluff High School has been the heart of this community since the late 1800s, and today it stands as one of the most comprehensive high schools in Southeast Missouri. Serving nearly 1,300 students in grades 9-12, PBHS offers everything from Advanced Placement and dual credit courses through Three Rivers College to Project Lead the Way career pathways and hands-on vocational training at the Technical Career Center — ensuring every student has a path to graduation and beyond.

At PBHS, we believe a great high school is about more than academics. It is about student leadership, athletic tradition, and preparing young people to make their mark on the world. From our nationally recognized Special Olympics program to a Boys Golf legacy that includes several state championships and more top-four finishes than any public school in Missouri history, the Mules set the standard — in the classroom and beyond.
